This course of about two weeks serves as preparation for flying under scheduled operations. Pilots are familiarized in detail with the aircraft type and the aeronautical procedures.
For pilots flying scheduled services, legislation calls for regular recurrent trainings. The program of this two-day course focuses on extending knowledge and particularly training in extraordinary situations. Incidents of all types can be trained realistically in the simulator, so that pilots can control them securely under scheduled operating conditions.
Even though the cockpit layouts of the CRJ200 and CRJ700/CRJ900 are almost identical, training is required for changing from one series to the other. This three-day course teaches the technical differences between the CRJ200 and the CRJ700 and CRJ900 respectively. The specific flying characteristics of these types and the related aeronautical procedures are trained in the simulator.
This four-day training is geared to pilots with valid type-rating, who have not flown at all or flown very little over a long period of time. The contents of the proficiency/recurrent training are complemented by additional modules for this purpose. The goal is an in-depth refresher of knowledge of type-specific systems and aeronautical procedures.
