Our simulators: “Flying” on the ground just like in the air
Our four full-flight simulators – manufactured by renowned provider CAE – meet all criteria for advanced equipment and reliable operations. Annual certifications by German and international aviation authorities (LBA, JAA) and regular technical maintenance by Lufthansa Flight Training Berlin ensure a very high level of technical reliability (on average 99 percent in 2009).
Currently, the simulators are being equipped with the visual system CAE TROPOS 6000, which is considered one of the most advanced in civil aviation. By using innovative processor and projection technology (Liquid Crystal on Silicon, LCoS), this system achieves a very high degree of realism. All simulators are to be equipped with TROPOS by early 2009.
The full-flight simulators are available to our training customers around the clock, seven days a week. Additionally, we offer an Integrated Procedural Trainer (IPT) for the Bombardier CRJ Series CRJ200, CRJ700 and CRJ900. Course participants may use the IPT to familiarize themselves with the operation and technical features of their aircraft type under highly realistic conditions.
